What Is Tactile Switches?
Tactile Switches switches provide a noticeable bump when you press the key, giving feedback that the key has been activated. Tactile switches are great for typing because you can feel when the key has been registered without needing to press it all the way down. Examples: Cherry MX Brown, Gateron Brown, Glorious Panda
What is Linear Switches?
Linear switches have a smooth, consistent keypress from top to bottom with no tactile bump. Linear Switches are often preferred for gaming because they allow for quick, repeated key presses. Examples: Cherry MX Red, Gateron Red, Razer Yellow.

Keycaps are the removable covers on top of the switches of a keyboard. They are the part you physically press with your fingers when typing. Keycaps are labeled with letters, numbers, symbols, or other characters, indicating what each key does
